Corby and East Northants Liberal Democrats

Elections to North Northamptonshire Council to take place in May 2021.

In February the order that abolished the County Council, East Northants Council and Corby Borough Council became law. There were to have been local elections in May 2020. These have now been postponed due to the Covid 19 crisis. When the elections do come local people will elect 78 councillors to the new North Northamptonshire Council. There will be 3 councillors to represent each ward which means that every elector will be able to vote for up to 3 candidates. We are getting a new council because of the financial position that the county council is in after many years of Conservative control. When the elections come we will have the opportunity for a fresh start and a council with different priorities. Local Liberal Democrats believe we should take it.
